Sheriff Al Lamberti hosts movie night event
Some proceeds will now go to Colorado shooting victims
Broward County Sheriff Al Lamberti will be hosting a movie night for the community as a way to raise money for his reelection campaign and the Colorado shooting victims.
The movie night features "The Dark Knight Rises." The event was planned before the movie theater massacre in Aurora, Colorado. While the event will go on as planned, some of the proceeds will go to help the victims' families.
The movie starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Paragon theater in Deerfield Beach. There will be music and food before the movie, starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, or $30 at the door. Only checks will be accepted.
Seating is limited, and you can purchase your tickets in advance by calling (954) 452-0615. The address for the theater is 3984 West Hillsboro Blvd.
