Police are hunting for a shoplifter who also assaulted a Macy's security guard.

Boynton Beach Police said that store security officer spotted a woman trying to leave the store with clothing hidden under her clothes on Wednesday.

The officer stopped the suspected shoplifter and began to fight with the woman over the stolen clothes.

That's when police said a car sped up outside the store at the Boynton Beach Mall on North Congress Avenue.

Another woman jumped out of the car, knocked the security officer to the ground, grabbed the stolen clothes and all of the suspects took off in the car.

The store security officer suffered minor cuts and bruises.

The car was later found in West Palm Beach.

But the suspects remain on the run.
