Couple captures sinking ship on video
Denise and David Saba were thankful to be back home in Miami Sunday after a traumatic experience on the Costa Concorida cruise ship last week.
The couple, who were on their honeymoon, arrived at Miami International Airport Sunday afternoon, greeted by family and friends in the terminal.
"This will serve as a reminder that we are alive," David Saba said, taking an orange life jacket out of his suit case.
The Saba's were on the Italian Costa Concordia when the ship crashed along the Tuscany coast Jan. 13. They were among the first passengers to evacuate the cruise ship. They say the scary moments came onboard the life boat.
"We thought we would go into the water upside down-- it was so full of people," Denise Saba said. "We feared for our life."
The Saba's told Local 10 that the crew members were clearly not prepared for this emergency.
Although they had a traumatic vacation David Saba told Local 10 he would go on another cruise in the future.
"Definitely, I love cruising. We will go again."
