A fitness coach at a South Florida gym faces three charges of child molestation.

Matthew Love was arrested Thursday. He faces three counts of lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim between 12 - 16 years old.

The allegations against Love were first brought to Davie police in April 2011.

A 15-year-old student said in December 2010, Love, her track coach at University School at the time, was stretching her and touched her inappropriately. The girl told police Love, 42, took her aside in March 2011 during PE class, and while he was stretching her, he reached underneath her shirt and touched her breasts. She said Love did the same thing the next day, but she told him, "Don't touch." The girl told police it happened again during a track meet.

The girl also told police the two exchanged texts messages about her classes. The last one sent from Love read, "U can massage me next time Lol," said police.

Love was listed as a speed and agility coach at Chamber Fitness in Davie. Love was a former Jamaican track athlete and is a certified Level 2 USA Track and Field coach, according to his biography that was posted on the site. It was later taken down.

When the teen came forward with her allegations last April, police said Love got a lawyer.

"We were not able to make contact with him immediately, but it does -- eventually the law will catch up to you and you'll be held accountable for the crimes you've committed," said Davie Police Captain Dale Engel.

Deventri Jordan, operations manager at The Chamber, issued the following comment following Love's arrest: “We recently learned of the allegations against and arrest of Matthew Love, one of the many independent contractors that have approached us about the training programs we are implementing at our new facility.  He is no longer connected to our efforts in any way.  We value the connections we have already made with families in the community and will never let anyone or anything compromise those relationships.”

Love posted bond Thursday afternoon.
