A stalking suspect shot and killed by Miami-Dade police on Monday night has been identified.

The victim was identified Tuesday as Henry Patterson.

Patterson, 55, was wanted on an aggravated stalking charge, said detectives.

On Monday night, detectives found Patterson at his Miami home. Police said Patterson pointed a gun at detectives.

Detectives said Patterson refused to put down the gun, and that's when officers shot and killed him.
