Black Friday madness has spread to the Christmas shopping season.

Toys "R" Us is just one of many nationwide retailers planning to stay open for marathon hours leading up to Christmas.

The toy giant sent out a media release Thursday that it plans to remain open continuously for 112 hours starting at 6 a.m. Dec. 20 through 10 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Two Toys "R" Us stores in South Florida are taking part in the shopping marathon: the store on 107th Avenue in Doral and the store on Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines.

Earlier this week, Macy's announced that 14 of its stores nationwide would remain open for 83 hours leading up to Christmas.  The round-the-clock hours for those select stores would start at 7 a.m. Dec. 21 until 6 p.m. Christmas eve.

None of the Macy's stores in South Florida will maintain the marathon schedule.
