Super Bowl ticket scam suspect arrested
Suspect is 37-year-old Robert Pham from Coral Springs
A Super Bowl bust! A Coral Springs man was arrested for ticket fraud after a two month long investigation.
Police say Robert Pham scammed two San Francisco 49ers fans out of nearly six thousand dollars.
Before the big game last month, Sharon Osgood and her boyfriend, Dan Briggs, had wired $5,900 to a person after seeing a posting on Craigslist advertising Super Bowl tickets for sale.
But when a FedEx package arrived for Osgood, instead of the tickets, the package contained pictures of Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, along with a taunting note that said, "Enjoy the game!!!! Go Ravens!!! LOL."
After two months of investigating, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office in California say 37-year-old Robert Pham was arrested Tuesday in Coral Springs, where he's being held on suspicion of false pretenses.
