HOMESTEAD, Fla. -

Surveillance video captured a beating at a BP gas station in Homestead, and now Miami-Dade police need help identifying the suspect.

The attack happened at 26790 Southwest 137th Avenue last Thursday evening.

The attacker, shown on the video buying a soda inside the store, punched a 51-year-old man in the face outside the gas station.

The attacker then drove away in a black Ford or Nissan truck.

The victim was knocked unconscious and suffered several facial factures.

Detectives said the attack was unprovoked and possibly a case of mistaken identity.
