Swim advisory issued on Virginia Key

The Florida Department of Health issued a swimming advisory at Dog Beach on Virginia Key.
Two consecutive water samples collected at the beach exceeded the standard for enterococci, a type of bacteria.
The department issue a notice when the swimming advisory is lifted.
