Screeners for the Transportation Security Administration stopped a loaded gun from making it onto a flight from South Florida last week.

The TSA said the screeners found the loaded .40 automatic handgun, which is seen in the picture above, last Friday in a carry-on bag at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.

In total, the TSA found 40 guns in carry-on baggage across the country in the last week. Of those 40 guns, 29 were loaded.
