Home prices posted a steep, month-over-month drop in November, falling 1.3%, according to the latest S&P/Case-Shiller price index. Prices are down 3.7% from a year ago and nearly 33% since the peak in 2006.

Segregation of African-Americans in cities and towns across the United States has dropped to its lowest level in more than a century, according to a recent study. The findings, gleaned from census data show that "all-white neighborhoods are effectively extinct" and that black populations in urban ghettos are in decline.
