BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -

Three men were arrested after allegedly holding up three other guys who were looking to buy drugs.

Boynton Beach Police got a call from witnesses on Wednesday that they just witnessed a holdup. The witnesses said the bad guys got away in a white Ford Taurus. Minutes later, police said they saw a car fitting that description and gave chase. The three suspects bailed out out the car and took off running.

Sherman Larmor Griffin, 19, and Lenard Reginald Newsome, 20, were arrested. The third suspect is still on the loose.

Police also caught up with the reported victims. They said they had traveled to Boynton Beach from Sebring with the intent of buying marijuana. But when they got there, they said the robbers forced them behind a home, pulled out an AK-47 and ordered them to empty their pockets.

They said the robbers took $15,000 in cash and then left in the Taurus.

Griffin and Newsome are charged with robbery with a firearm and false imprisonment.
They remain behind bars at the Palm Beach County Jail.
