UCF can earn league title game berth in finale against UAB

UCF will have a rare opportunity in its regular-season finale.

After last week's loss at Tulsa, not only will the Knights get a second chance Saturday against UAB to secure a berth in the Conference USA championship. UCF's senior class will also have an opportunity to tie the school record for wins over a four-year stretch.

The only stumbling block left are the Blazers, who at 3-8 aren't going to the postseason, but can earn their second straight win over UCF following last year's victory in Birmingham.

UAB coach Garrick McGee insists being a spoiler is not on his team's radar.

Instead he says he's looking for Blazers' freshman quarterback Austin Brown to finish the season strong as he fights through a groin injury.
