GAINESVILLE, Fla ā€“ A student at the University of Florida claims she was attacked early Sunday morning, after arriving home from a Gainesville bar.

Police say when they arrived she had a gash on her forehead and there was a pool of blood on the floor.

UF security then sent out an alert to students, faculty and staff, to inform them about the incident.Ā The apartment complex is affiliated with UF's Housing and Residence Education.

A Gainesville police department spokesman says since the man didn't say anything to theĀ victim at the time of the attack, police are ruling out sexual battery and robbery as a possible motive.
