Voters must register by deadline to vote in presidential election

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -

Today is the deadline to register to vote in the November election.

The presidential election – as well as elections for Congress and the Florida Legislature – will take place on Nov. 6.

In order to register, residents must be at least 18 years old, be a U.S. citizen, and live in Florida.

Applications must be delivered or at least post-marked by Tuesday to qualify.

As of mid-August, state records show there are about 11.6 million active registered voters.
