Potential voters gathered at Lynn University, the site of the last presidential debate, for the first debate between President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

A large crowd watched Obama and Romney duke it out. Many of those in attendance are either seeking jobs or looking to retire.

Debbie Bielawski doesn’t work and she’s on disability. She wants President Obama to get reelected.

“We were both sitting here laughing at Mr. Romney because he doesn’t seem to get it,” Bielawski said. “He makes no connection with … the middle class.”

Dolores Hughes doesn’t work either. She just retired to care for her mother and supports Romney.

“He’s got a lot of data, a lot of experience and he’s not afraid to say what the facts are,” Hughes said. “So I think he’ll turn it around.”

Most of the people in the crowd said have already decided which candidate will get their vote, but some are still on the fence.

“I really have to analyze all of the debates in order to (decide),” Aura Cruz said.

The third debate will take place at Lynn University on Oct. 22nd.
