Workers capped an eight-inch water main break in front of the Hemispheres Condo in Hallandale Beach on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Hallandale Beach police, the main water line broke in front of 1920 S. Ocean Drive about 9 a.m.

Water has been restored to about 8,000 condos along A1A.

The cause of the break hasn't been determined.

A 24-hour boil water order was issued for the area.
