Website helps reunite hotel guests with their lost items

Chargerback.com provides hotel guests with a chance to find something they left behind

More than 46 million items are left behind in hotel rooms each year, but now there's a new way for their owners to get them back.

It's called Chargerback-- and it's making life a little bit easier for those guests and the hotels where they spent their time.

According to its website, less than 10 percent of lost items are given back to their owners under normal circumstances. But customers who use Chargerback find the items 90 percent of the time.

Instead of putting an item that's found in a room into a lost and found, hotel workers can upload a description of the item to the website. Once a guest returns home and realizes they've lost an item, he or she can log onto the website and type up a description. If there's a match, both are notified.
