West, Murphy both headed to Washington; incumbent threatening lawsuits to hold unto seat

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -

Both candidates fighting for the District 18 congressional seat are headed to Washington.

Rep. Allen West is returning Tuesday as Congress goes back into session. The man expected to replace him, Patrick Murphy, is heading to an orientation for new House members.

Their fight isn't over, though.

While Murphy has been declared the unofficial winner in the race, West's campaign is threatening lawsuits, claiming malfeasance by the St. Lucie County supervisor of elections.
