The Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested a woman who, they say, tried extorting a family for $3 million.
Police arrested Camille Brown, 31, of Plantation, on Tuesday.
According to investigators, Brown sent a threatening email to the Rowland Schaefer family, saying she would release derogatory information about them unless she was paid $3 million.
Undercover FDLE agents contacted Brown, who agreed to sell the documents to the agents. She was arrested in Boynton Beach after they met with her.
Brown is the daughter of a former housekeeper for the Schaefer family.
Brown was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
