Woman arrested after bringing sword to central Florida mosque campus
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A 47-year-old woman is under arrest after she entered the campus of a mosque and school in Orlando carrying a 2-foot-long sword.
Dominique Vianneyte Eloi was charged Wednesday with possession of a weapon on school grounds, disrupting a school function and aggravated assault with a weapon.
No one was injured.
Orange County deputies say Eloi drove onto the campus of the Leaders Preparatory School and then entered the mosque, which was empty.
An employee asked what she was doing, but she didn't respond.
The school was locked down until sheriff's deputies arrived and arrested her.
Deputies say they are unsure why Eloi went to the campus.
