A woman was killed in a car crash on Pine Island Road in Plantation Friday morning.

The crash happened just north of Interstate 595 about 7:15 a.m.

It's unclear what led up to the crash.

The driver of the van involved in the crash wasn't injured.

The name of the woman who was killed was not immediately released.
