Broward College said it continues to work with the Pembroke Pines Police Department and other local agencies regarding the alleged bomb threat.

A bomb threat was made by telephone at 6:14 p.m. Friday by a male caller who made a general threat to college campuses in Broward, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

"Making a hoax bomb threat is a violation of state law, and it is routine for [BSO] Violent Crimes detectives to investigate such threats," BSO said in a statement.

All Broward College facilities remained closed Friday night, campus officials said.

Deputies said anyone who may have information about the caller may call 954-764-HELP (4357).
