US Airways operations to move to Concourse D in the north terminal Wednesday

MIAMI ā€“ The ongoing merger of American Airlines and US Airways will become more apparent for travelers at Miami International Airport Wednesday, when operations are combined into the same concourse.

US Airways will begin working out of the airport's north terminal, Concourse D, Wednesday morning, joining American Airlines' operations.

Ticketing, check-in, baggage services and customer service operations for US Airways were previously located in the south terminal, Concourse J. US Airways ended operations there Tuesday evening.

Starting Wednesday, US Airways flights will operate out of gates in Concourse E.

According to a American Airlines Group, Inc., the combined airlines will provide an estimated 350 daily flights from Miami International Airport to 121 destinations in 40 countries.
