Armed robber sentenced to 39 years

Bryan Whitehead convicted in Bank of America, BB&T robberies

MIAMI – A federal judges sentenced an armed robber to more than 39 years in prison.

Bryan Whitehead, 32, of Miami, was sentenced to 471 months (39.25 years) followed by five years of supervised release. He was convicted of bank robbery and use of a firearm during a crime of violence.

According to court documents, Whitehead robbed a Bank of America in Delray Beach on May 1, 2010. He stole about $30,000 in cash.

On May 21, 2012, Whitehead robbed a BB&T in Plantation, say police. He was later arrested at a nearby gas station.
