MIRAMAR, Fla. – A man is dead after being shot in a Miramar neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Sky 10 was above the scene about 6:15 p.m. as numerous police cars were seen in the 6500 block of Southwest 18th Street.
"It's just shocking to know that something like this could happen at any moment," resident Wildith Boue told Local 10 News.
Police said the man,identified by police as Marceon Wells, 26, was found dead in a driveway that wasn't where he lived. Residents who recognized the victim said he lived just down the street.
"Crime can happen anytime, day or night," Miramar police spokeswoman Natasha Richardson said. "It's not the first time that a shooting has occurred during the day."
Police are investigating.
