Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run crash

BSO: One driver involved in Deerfield Beach crash drives away

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - Two vehicles hit a bicyclist Friday morning, killing him, but one driver involved took off, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The hit-and-run crash happened in the 4800 block of N. Dixie Highway in Deerfield Beach about 9 a.m.

Another driver involved stayed and spoke with police. She told BSO a dark car ran him over after she hit him.

The bicyclist was transported to Broward North, where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information on the driver who left the scene is asked to call BSO at 954-493-TIPS.
