Detectives said Robert Nunez, 39, was carjacked Saturday while pulling into a convenience store at 16800 Northwest 47th Ave.

Police said Nunez talked briefly with a man before the man shot Nunez, took his keys and left in his BMW.

Surveillance video shows Nunez running to the store for help before falling to the ground.

"He said, kept saying, 'Call rescue, rescue,'" the store clerk said. "We saw that he got a gunshot from the left side of his stomach and it came out the right side."

Nunez was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

After two surgeries, Nunez is now in stable condition.

Police described the gunman as a black man who is 22 to 25 years old with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a Skully, a white shirt and black pants.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Miami-Dade at 305-471-TIPS.
