Body found in Laundromart parking lot in Miami

Police say trauma found on body

MIAMI – A body was found Friday morning outside a 24-hour laundromat in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood.

The body was discovered in the parking lot of the Laundromart, 1277 NW Seventh St., about 7 a.m.

Sky 10 was above the scene as Miami police placed a yellow tarp over the body.

Miami police Detective Frederica Burden said there was trauma to the body, but she wouldn't elaborate.

Burden said the victim is a person known to frequent the area, but his identity hasn't been released.

Police were reviewing surveillance video in the area.
