Body found inside submerged car is that of missing Fort Lauderdale woman

Lisa Hayden-Gordon found in New River

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Fort Lauderdale Police Department has confirmed that the body inside of the vehicle removed from the New River on Friday was in fact Lisa Hayden-Gordon.

Lisa Hayden-Gordon, 51, was a piano teacher for 25 years and went by the nickname "Noodles."

She was last seen about 1:30 a.m. Jan. 24 near Revolution Live nightclub, 100 SW Third Ave. Her family claims she suffers from bipolar disorder.

Detectives say this still remains an active and on-going investigation.

Friday, it took divers with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department nearly two hours to put air bags on the 2003 Hyundai Elantra, lift it to the surface and have it towed out of the water.
