Boil water order lifted in Hollywood

Water main break prompts order

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A precautionary boil water order issued following a water main break in Hollywood was lifted at 3 p.m. Friday.

The order was issued Thursday after a utility contractor broke a 24-inch water main at Van Buren Street and South 28th Avenue. Some of the street closures ended before noon Friday after most of the repair work was finished.

It's unclear when the affected intersection will reopen.

The order was extended to Davie customers who receive water from Hollywood or Broward County.

Anyone with questions is asked to visit the Hollywood Department of Public Utilities website or call 954-921-3241.
