MIAMI -

The bomb squad is investigating after police received a 911 call of an unattended backpack at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami.

Police shut down several blocks in the area of 900 NW 17th, near the campus of Jackson-Memorial Hospital.

It is not clear if the backpack was found inside the building or in the street.

The package was blown up and nothing but clothing was found inside.

The scene was cleared about 40 minutes later.
