Brickell construction project takes big step forward

Major haul for 1010 Brickell condo project

MIAMI – A major haul for the 1010 Brickell condominium project as they take a big step in the construction of the soon-to-be luxury condominium building.

Crews working around the clock to fill 5600 cubic yards of cement into a very tight space, a key part of the overall project. Project Executive for Moss Construction Managers, Stephen Chang was on site Saturday morning to oversee the cement pour saying, "This is the framework of the entire 47 story building. We will go vertical from here."

Trucks started lining up at 1 a.m. Saturday and were escorted eight at a time every few minutes. The pour takes a total of 13 hours until the cement is nine feet thick.

The 1010 Brickell condo project is just one of several new additions to the Brickell area aimed at bringing a more residential feel to the busy executive area. Completion for the project is scheduled for the first quarter of 2017.
