Brush fires reported in west Broward County, southwest Miami-Dade County

No structures threatened

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Forest Service says 75 acres have burned in a brush fire so far in west Broward County.

Sky 10 was above Interstate 75 just north of U.S. 27 about 6 p.m. Monday as heavy smoke filled the air.

Forestry officials said the fire is not threatening any homes nearby and no evacuations are in place.

Another brush fire was reported in the area of Bird Road and Southwest 162nd Avenue in Miami-Dade County. About 20 acres have burned so far.

Forestry officials continue to monitor both fires.
