DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - A Broward Sheriff's Office deputy serving an eviction notice shot at a dog but missed Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened in the 900 block of NE 50th Street in Deerfield Beach.

The deputy was serving an eviction notice to renters when the dog charged toward him, said police. He shot at the dog, which then ran off.

The dog wasn't injured.
