DANIA BEACH, Fla. – A budget European airline will launch service out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Friday.
Norwegian Air Shuttle will offer direct flights to London's Gatwick Airport twice a week, with some one-way fares available for less than $300.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is one of a handful U.S. destinations selected by the airline for its U.S. expansion. Others selected include Orlando International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
According to its website, Norwegian is the third-largest low-cost carrier in Europe.
