DANIA BEACH, Fla. – A cab driver accused of running over a man who was lying in the middle of Federal Highway and driving away turned himself in to the Broward Sheriff's Office on Wednesday.
Michael Brandt, a Yellow Cab driver, ran over Bernard Williams in the 1200 block of Federal Highway on June 5, according to BSO. It's unclear why Williams, 62, was lying in the roadway, but toxicology reports show his blood alcohol content was 0.22.

Passing drivers called 911 after seeing Williams lying in front of Cyber Pizza Cafe. Fire rescued pronounced him dead when they arrived.
Brandt, 58, faces charges of vehicular homicide for fleeing the scene of an accident involving injuries.
