POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - Investigators are searching for a man who broke into cars in Pompano Beach, using a stolen pink umbrella to shelter himself from the rain.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said surveillance video showed a man breaking into cars just before 4 a.m. April 28 in the 300 block of Southeast 10th Street.

The man was looking for unlocked cars, BSO said. It was raining, so the man used a pink umbrella taken from one of the cars to keep the rain off him as he looked through the unlocked vehicles.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
