Caribbean-American Carnival kicks off this weekend

Celebrate one of South Florida's most colorful festivals

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – During the month of October Caribbean-Americans in South Florida celebrate Carnival. It is one of the most colorful festivals in South Florida.

The Carnival kicks off this weekend and you're invited to come out to celebrate.

"We really want people to come out and enjoy all our festival has to offer," says Giselle Blanche of Miami Broward Carnival.

A group of ten children from the different Carnival groups in South Florida visited the station to show off this year's creations. Dressed in brilliant costumes and some portraying beautiful creatures, they represented the groups Heritage TNT, the Wassi Babes and China Mas.

Miami Broward Junior's Carnival parade will be held on Sunday October 6th at Central Regional Park in Lauderhill. Miami Broward Carnival is October 13th at Sunlife Stadium.
