FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Broward State Attorney's Office filed one count of misdemeanor domestic battery against former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson on Wednesday.
Johnson is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning. He is expected to file a written plea of not guilty and is not expected to be in court, said State Attorney Michael J. Satz.
Johnson faces one year in jail if he's convicted.
