FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Broward State Attorney officially filed charges against a former school bus attendant accused of choking a 13-year-old boy.
Darryl Blue is charged with misdemeanor battery in the Oct. 9th incident.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Department, Blue pulled a restraining harness against the 13-year-old's body and neck. Deputies said surveillance video showed him hurting the boy while the bus was leaving Westglades Middle School in Parkland.
His arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 30. He faces up to 1 year in jail, 1 year probation, or a fine up to $1,000.
