Clerk held at gunpoint at Papa John's

No injuries reported in Weston restaurant robbery

WESTON, Fla. - A Papa John's clerk was held at gunpoint during a robbery attempt Tuesday night, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Around 11:30 p.m., two men entered the Papa John's at 50 Indian Trace in Weston.

They held a store employee at gunpoint, took some cash and fled the scene.

An employee of the restaurant told Local 10's Ben Kennedy that the thieves got away with about $200. He says they don't keep much cash in the register at night.

BSO is reviewing surveillance video.

No injuries were reported.
