Clinic offers free rabies vaccinations in honor of World Rabies Day

MIAMI - Animal Welfare Society of South Florida is celebrating World Rabies Day by offering free rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  

Vaccines and office visits are completely free, though pet owners may be required to purchase mandatory Miami-Dade County Rabies tags.

"This is a great opportunity for pet owners to protect themselves and their pets from a deadly viral infection," said Miami Commission Chairman Francis Suarez. "I am thankful to Animal Welfare Society for providing this valuable service to our community."

Animal Welfare Society of South Florida is located at 2601 SW 27th Avenue.

Owners should provide pet(s) prior proof of rabies vaccination.  Puppies and kittens must be at least 4 months old. Dogs must be on a leash. Cats must be in carriers.
