Coast Guard searching for man who jumped off cruise ship

James Miller jumps overboard off coast of Delray Beach

MIAMI – The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a 30-year-old man after a man jumped over the railing of a cruise ship off the coast of South Florida.

Coast Guard officials said James Miller, of Charleston, S.C., jumped off the Bahamas Celebration cruise ship early Sunday morning, about 27 miles east of Delray Beach.

Two air crews and a a small boat crew were searching for the man.

The cruise ship returned to the Port of Palm Beach about 9 a.m. Sunday. It was traveling to Freeport, Bahamas.

The FBI is investigating.

No other details were immediately released.
