The Coast Guard says it is no longer searching for the fishermen aboard a disabled vessel drifting in the waters off northern Haiti.
Officials say the small fishing vessel called the Aisha became disabled and started drifting Friday in the waters off Labadee, Haiti.
Sunday evening, the Coast Guard said they found the missing vessel that was already being assisted by a good Samaritan vessel in the Canal de Tortue area, Saturday afternoon.
Officials said there were five Haitian fisherman aboard the Aisha, rather than nine as initially reported. It was confirmed that all the passengers were safe, accounted for and in no immediate distress.
The Coast Guard said the vessel and crew are being towed back to Haiti by the motor vessel Irena Express.
