Coast Guard searches for 2 other migrants off Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials confirm that three migrants who arrived in Miami Beach on Monday morning were from Cuba.

The migrants have been identified as a mother and her two teenage daughters. They were found near Collins Avenue and 17th Street about 7 a.m. Monday. Authorities believe the women were dropped off at the beach by smugglers.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Coast Guard suspended their search for two other migrants missing off the coast of Miami Beach.

The Coast Guard said it is unclear how the two missing men are related to the women.

A Coast Guard boat and helicopter, along with local authorities, were searching for them.
