Construction worker injured on fifth floor of building

Technical rescue team brings victim down, takes him to hospital

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A technical rescue team was called to a construction site Tuesday after a worker got injured on the fifth floor of the building, authorities said.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials said the man got hit by something and had to be brought down by the technical rescue team because there are no elevators at the construction site.

The victim was taken to Broward Health Medical Center as a trauma alert.

It's unclear what he was struck by.

No other details were immediately released.
