MIRAMAR ā€“ Three convicted felons are back behind bars after a string of sexual assaults in Miramar.

Frankie Gatlin, Britton Blackwood and Kinshon Johnekins, who are known to be friends are all facing charges in connection with at least two incidents.

According to Miramar Police spokeswoman Tania Rues, the men robbed raped and terrorized their victims. The first incident happened on Sept. 24. Police said two women came down from Port Charlotte after meeting Gatlin and Blackwood through social media. Once they arrived they were sexually assaulted and robbed at gunpoint.

The second known case happened a little more than a month later on Oct. 26. According to officers, the victim was at Club 7 in Miramar when a friend drove her back to her vehicle in a nearby KFC parking lot around 5 in the morning. Once there, Johnekins and Blackwood allegedly ambushed the woman and raped her in her car. They also stole her belongings and threatened her.
