SAN ANTONIO - As most engaged couples do, a future bride and groom registered for gifts before their wedding.
But Julianna De La Cruz bucked the norm when they decided to register at the local food bank.
"We wanted to figure out a way to help out the community and we thought this would be a good way to do it," said De La Cruz.
Wedding guests were encouraged to donate to one of four barrels stationed at the entrance to the reception, and they were all full.
"It feels really good to do something different and positive," said Del La Cruz.
