Police: Suspects based operations primarily out of Allapattah housing complex

MIAMI – Fourteen people were indicted Wednesday after a multiagency sweep in Miami-Dade County. They are accused of numerous crimes, including drug trafficking, robbery, racketeering and murder.

According to a news release, the defendants based their operations, beginning in or around 2000, primarily in Allapattah's South Gwen Cherry housing complex.

Police said the suspects conspired with each other and others to "engage in a pattern of racketeering activity that involved murders, threats of murder, armed robberies, narcotics trafficking, and the use of firearms in furtherance of violence crimes and drug trafficking activity."

The suspects were identified as Antonio Glass, Jermaine Bryant, Curtis Bryant, Quincy Bryant, Levi Bryant, Michael Walker, Reginald Graham, Daniel Jones, Samuel Hayes, Torivis Reginal Ingram, Mario Rodriguez, Latitia Houser, Donzell Jones and Vencess Toby.

"As gangs have become more violent in our communities, the FBI and its partners will use every legal means available to include federal racketeering statutes to dismantle these criminal enterprises," Assistant Special Agent in Charge Michael D'Alonzo said. "Today, the FBI and our partners are serving notice to gang members everywhere, these statutes hold serious consequences to include life in prison.

If convicted, the defendants each face a minimum of 10 years in prison and up to a sentence of life in prison.
